Each tour arranged by Rosalie Bay is hosted by a professional guide and driver to ensure a high-quality experience. Our tour guides are experienced and have been hosting hikes and tours for more than a decade in Dominica.

Tour Guides

While most hikes may not require a tour guide, it is advisable to have one who can provide in-depth information and history about the sites visited to complete your hike. However, there are sites that require tour guides specifically for trail guidance and safety, such as Boiling Lake and Victoria Falls.

Hikes such as Emerald Pool, Spanny Waterfalls, and Jaco Falls may not require a tour guide.

Things to know

A selection of delicious packed lunches are available for purchase when participating in tours. All tours must be booked by 5 p.m. the previous evening. Please take a moment to set an appointment with our guest services supervisor or a member of our reception staff to meet and discuss which options best suit your desires and schedule. 

A minimum of two people are required for all tours and excursions. All tours are professionally guided and include site passes to each attraction. If a weekly pass has been given to you, it is your responsibility to keep it safe for the duration of your stay. 

When lunch is included, drinks and water are provided. If you have allergies, please notify reception prior to a tour that includes a picnic lunch. Also notify reception of any special needs. We strongly recommend you bring sun protection and water on each tour. If snorkeling with prescribed lenses, please carry your own mask. 

While our tours are timed, if you wish to explore for more than the time allotted, a charge of US$30 per hour for the car and US$50 per hour for the van will apply. Younger guests ages 12 and under are half-price and must be accompanied by an adult.
