Located on 22 acres, there is plenty of space for you to maintain social distance from other guests at Rosalie Bay. In fact, even when full, the resort never feels crowded.

As you prepare to travel to Rosalie Bay, please keep in mind there are new travel restrictions in place. These are intended to keep the community safe and healthy and ensure you have a worry-free Dominica vacation.

Rosalie Bay recognizes its responsibility in helping to stop the spread of COVID-19 and fully cooperates with the government-mandated protocols as a resort. Please read below to learn about the health and safety protocols in place at Rosalie Bay.

Before Traveling

Unvaccinated travelers must present a negative test result taken within 24-72 hours of arrival.

Upon Arrival

Symptomatic travelers will undergo a health assessment at arrival. You must pay for this test in advance using the link below.

At Rosalie Bay

Any guest who is feeling unwell, is exhibiting flu-like symptoms, or showing signs of respiratory issues will be referred to a doctor. If your destination after departure requires a PCR test, use the link below to schedule it.

Guests must not enter the reception – all check-ins and check-outs will take place either on the reception verandah or via mobile devices. Equipment will be disinfected in between each use. No cash to secure rooms or to pay for rooms – only credit card. Hand sanitizer will be provided upon arrival to the resort.

Yoga/Fitness

  • Yoga and any outside fitness classes will be conducted with a maximum of 5 people
  • All gym equipment will be cleaned and sanitized after every use
  • A maximum of 5 people will be allowed in the gym at a time
  • You will be advised to always remain at least 6 feet apart from each other

Pool

  • Lounge chairs by the pool are minimum 3 feet apart and arranged in pairs to accommodate couples and families. This will restrict the capacity to around 20 persons by the pool
  • Lounge chairs and tables and all other guest contact surfaces will be sanitized before and after guest use

Restaurants

  • All tables are spaced 6 feet apart.
  • Guests can order via phone or online from a takeout menu.
  • Table mats are cleaned and sanitized after every use.
  • Food taken poolside and in other public areas is served in disposable containers.
  • All menus and check presenters are disinfected and sanitized after every use.
  • Only single use condiments are served.
  • Tables, chairs and countertops are disinfected and sanitized after each use.

Pool

  • Lounge chairs by the pool are minimum 3 feet apart and arranged in pairs to accommodate couples and families. This will restrict the capacity to around 20 persons by the pool.
  • Lounge chairs and tables and all other guest contact surfaces are sanitized before and after guest use.

Events

  • Tables are placed 6 feet apart and only people of the same household will be allowed at each table
  • RSVP lists will need to be given 72-hours before events. If the numbers exceed the approved number of guests for a space, the organizers will either be forced to reduce their numbers or the event will be cancelled
  • Hand sanitizing stations will be made available at every entrance
  • Guests must have on masks while at the event
  • All public areas will be cleaned and disinfected every two hours. In the event of guests on property, the guest areas will be cleaned every hour.
  • Room housekeeping will be done every three days or upon request.
  • High touch point areas will be frequently and thoroughly cleaned and disinfected to the most stringent standards. Extra attention will be paid to light switches, doorknobs, counters, pens, phones, touch screens, remote controls etc.
  • Upon check out, all AC units will be run for 10 minutes while windows and doors are open to allow for fresh air to circulate the room and vents.
  • Rooms will be fogged with disinfectant upon check out. 
  • Staff are to wash hands frequently and properly.
  • Gloves will be worn for occupied rooms.
  • Masks will be worn when entering occupied guests’ rooms. 
  • Fresh linens will only be supplied upon request.
