Dive Fest 2014: Family Fun Day at Rosalie Bay

Dominica Dive Fest 2014 LogoToday marks the first day of Dive Fest 2014! The annual event on Dominica offers activities for locals and guests of all ages to enjoy including whale watching, diving, snorkeling, canoe racing, marine educational tours and more.

Hosted by the Dominica Watersports Association in Soufriere, the event is boasted as the “longest running event of its kind in the region” and exists “to promote Dominica’s marine environment and responsible tourism.”

The event lasts through July 20th so there is plenty of time to join in on the fun!

To kick off the celebrations, join us tomorrow at Rosalie Bay Resort for a day of family fun for all ages, free of charge.

Family Fun Day

Saturday, July 12 from 12:30 pm – 6:00 pm at Rosalie Bay Resort

  • BBQ with hamburgers, hotdogs, kabobs and more
  • Swimming in our saltwater pool
  • Treasure hunt
  • Wheel of fortune and other games
  • Sand turtle building competition
  • Hatchling release at 5:00 pm

Giveaways, promotions and prizes will be a part of the fun activities and friendly competition, and one lucky guest will win a smart phone. A special thanks to our co-sponsors Digicel, Pirates Ltd. and NETRosalie. We hope to see you there.

If you are unable to attend this year’s event, Rosalie Bay offers guided tours to Soufriere on the southwest portion of Dominica year-round.
