The holiday season is truly a magical time of year here at Rosalie Bay Resort on Dominica. Guests for the holidays will enjoy free nights, a healthy and stress free getaway, and many traditions from home and the islands.
Here are a few of the activities we have planned:
Wednesday, December 19:
Managers Welcome Reception with Traditional Dominican Sorrel Punch. The punch is made from a local flower, Sorrel, that blooms at the holidays.
Friday, December 21:
End of the World Fish Fry. The Mayan calendar predicts 12/21/12 is the end of the world. If that’s the case, we’ll disregard our healthy eating and indulge in fried fish and decadent desserts. View the End-of-the-World Fish Fry menu.
Saturday, December 22:
Annual Local Underprivileged Children’s Christmas Party, a highlight of holiday week at Rosalie Bay Resort. Children from a nearby village, who may not otherwise have a gift to open on Christmas morning, enjoy a fun-filled afternoon with snacks, games and presents courtesy of Rosalie Bay Resort.
The World Didn’t End BBQ. Hopefully the world will continue spinning and we’ll celebrate with a BBQ of local seafood and Dominican favorites. Whet your appetite and preview the menu here.
Monday, December 24:
Christmas Eve Family-style Dinner. Guests will enjoy traditional Christmas dishes, such as turkey, dressing and mashed potatoes, as well as local Dominican traditions. Dinner will finish with a traditional Dominican eggnog toast. Click here to preview the menu.
Tuesday, December 25:
Christmas Dinner. A special Christmas dinner menu with roast pork, sweet potatoes and other sides followed by a Champagne or Sorrel Punch toast and a local gift for guests.
Complimentary transportation to local Christmas church services will be available.
Wednesday, December 26:
Weekly Managers Welcome Reception.
Monday, December 31:
Complimentary transportation to Fort Young Old Year’s Night Party, the island’s most popular New Year’s Eve party.
Tuesday, January 1:
New Year’s Day Poolside Brunch with complimentary mimosas
