Happy World Turtle Day! As an eco-resort with a passion for and commitment to saving the sea turtles, this is one of our favorite days of the year.
“The purpose of World Turtle Day… is to bring attention to, and increase knowledge of and respect for, turtles and tortoises, and encourage human action to help them survive and thrive.”
To celebrate, Rosalie Bay Resort is helping the Nature Enhancement Team, NET Rosalie, organize a series of activities for their third annual World Turtle Day event this Sunday, May 25.
The community sea turtle group helps protect the three species of critically endangered sea turtles that nest and hatch on our beach each year — leatherback, green and hawksbill sea turtles.

Show your support
If you’re unable to attend this weekend’s event, you can still support our conservation efforts during sea turtle season. We have had many nestings on our black sand beach so far this season (photos below) and expect hatchlings at the end of this month!
