At our nature resort, we source fresh coconuts from the growing trees on property. If you’re warming up at home this spring, you can still transport your senses to the tropics with this sweet and simple recipe.
Coconut Cocktail Recipe
Ingredients (serves 1 large glass)
- 4 coconuts: 2 soft and 2 semi-hard
- Coconut water from 4 coconuts
- 2 drops of almond essence
- 2 drops of vanilla essence
- 2 tbsp. of condensed milk
- Nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon (to taste)
- 1 oz. rum
- 2 drops blue Curaçao liqueur (to make the blue color)
- 2 drops of grenadine syrup (to make the pink color)
- Cherries, watermelon, pineapple or other fruit for garnish
Directions
- Dice the coconuts and add to blender
- Add coconut water, almond essence, vanilla essence, condensed milk and spices to blender
- Blend the ingredients together
- Strain the content and pour into glass
- Add the rum and lightly stir
- Add the blue curaçao liquor and grenadine syrup. Let swirl.
- Garnish glass with tropical fruit
- Enjoy!
