Discovering Dominica and Giving Back

Our resort owner Beverly Deikel came to Dominica and created Rosalie Bay after falling in love the island and its people.

In addition to building our eco-boutique hotel to protect the environment, founding a sea turtle conservation program, and providing a source of much-needed training and employment to the local villagers, Beverly and her partner Oscar have been involved with several other organizations to give back to the community.

Earlier this month, Beverly was a guest on “The Intentional Traveler” show with Michael McCarthy on WGN Radio. The show discusses “journeys with purpose and meaning.”

In her interview, she shares her journey to the island, creating the resort and finding ways – big and small – to give back to the communities and people of Dominica.
